What comes around about every 30-45 days? Glad you asked, it’s Dale Day. That means grandpa picks Dale up in the morning and they spend the day together.
If the 45 days mark is approaching, Dale is calling. He doesn’t play about his time with his grandpa. Their time together consist of a mixture of volunteering, visiting family, going to the movies, and a full evening of sports which is all Grandpa, it translates to nap time for Dale. ?
As a child, I didn’t have a living grandfather so to watch them together is such a delight to me. My father once summed Dale up as a walking example of God’s Love for all people. He walks in God’s Grace with innocence and forgiveness for every body without a negative intention for anyone about any thing. You can only learn from his open approach to people and at the same time you are moved to protect him from the realities of the world.
Dale Days are epic, I love it!!!

And it’s about that time. ?
He’s such a gem! ?❤️
Ronetta, this is great. I too, didn’t have a grandfather to spend time with.
I had a Great Grand Daddy, and all we did was count cars from the porch, he made chocolate cake, and other times ice cream sundaes with Root Beer soda when weren’t enjoying shelling fresh roasted peanuts on that same porch. I understand childhood memories that last a lifetime.
